A Day In The Life... of a dog.

Cooper went to his favorite dog groomer and you could see how confidant he felt with his new "do."

John had 3 meetings in St. George on Tuesday and no one to drive down with him for the day, so Cooper and I joined him.  We left at 5 am and arrived at the house at 9 am.  John dropped us off and Cooper and I were on our own without transportation for 6 hours.  It rained a little in the morning but the sun came out and it was in the 60s.  Cooper was in heaven.  We went on a walk to the duck pond and the rest of the hours were spent by Cooper finding sunny and shady places to lounge.

We left at 3 pm and this was Cooper's back-seat spot during the 4-hour ride home... oh, what a life!

Auto Show!

John is usually the parent to take the kids to the auto show but it didn't work out this year with his work schedule.  The boys both had the day off school for Martin Luther King day so I took them!

They made sure to text their dad about the Mustangs and the F-150s--
a couple of John's favorite "rides."

I sure have good-looking boys!!! And they're fun to be with too! Glad they were willing to hang out with me for a couple hours...

Ringin' In the New Year!!!

This week was cold!!! Especially for our niece Crystal's wedding in her short-sleeved wedding dress.  We took one quick group picture and then fled for warmth.   She had a beautiful reception and we enjoyed being there as a family.

Our New Year's Eve celebration included lunch at Cheesecake Factory with the parentals and an early-evening toast before Grayson and Garrett headed out with individual friends and John and I went to dinner and movie.  The two of us were in bed and asleep by 10:30 pm and the boys got home between 1 and 2 am.  Glad they popped in to let us know they were home safely...

Got a surprise text from a friend in our home ward who just happened to be in Tennessee visiting family and ran into Sister Tebbs at church and took the companionship to lunch to celebrate the New Year.  So thrilled to see her happy, smiling face!

We celebrated the New Year with one last meal with Garrett at both boys' favorite restaurant--Buffalo Wild Wings.

I helped Garrett move into his apartment in Provo before BYU starts Monday.  Garrett lugged everything up to his 3rd-floor apartment (good thing there are elevators) while I got his bed made and clothes hung up.  An hour later I was done and Garrett headed out to catch up with old mission companions before his date that night. (That Tinder dating app seems to be working out amazingly well for him :)

I finally got a new car.  We sold the Traverse a couple months ago and now that I don't have to be the chauffeur or participate in carpools for the first time in 23 years, I "graduated" to a smaller car with lots of fun techie things inside and still AWD so I can function in snow.

Our family is now back to 3 and Cooper roams from pillow to pillow, spending lots of time in Hailey's room waiting for her to come home!  She'll be home this year and 2015 is going to be stellar in many, many ways!!  Happy New Year!
