The Transformation...

Since she was little, Hillary always wanted her wedding reception in our yard.  I am SO glad she picked a date that turned out with beautiful weather and our yard was able to accommodate her wishes!  HAPPY WEDDING!!

Temple Week

We had the wonderful privilege of attending the Bountiful Temple twice last week as two of our children received their endowments.  Garrett went through Wednesday, Sept. 5 and Hillary went through Saturday, Sept. 8.  It's almost a feeling I can't even describe-- having MY children in the temple with me.  It's what we hoped and prayed for the moment they were blessed as babies and my heart was so full as we visited in the Celestial room together.  It was almost surreal to be standing beside my adult 18 and 20 year old children.  THIS is what life is truly about--being sealed together as families and helping each other on the path back to our Heavenly Father.  This is the next step for each of them and they are truly moving on to good things.  I feel truly humbled and blessed as a mother.

Family Bridal Shower

The center of attention--soon to be Mrs. Coffey--enjoying another briday shower especially for family and old friends from our first neighborhood

Aunt Michelle and Grammy Milne enjoying the marriage advice!

Lots of aunts and cousins and old friends came to support Hillary.

These two cousins always have fun together...

And the littlest cousin was the biggest help!  Thank you Michelle and Courtnie for a fun and delightful shower with the best treats!!!!

Neighborhood Bridal Shower

We love our neighborhood and the wonderful friends that are so loving and giving!  On Saturday, August 18, several close friends were very generous to give Hillary a fabulous bridal shower with wonderful gifts and over-the-top food.

The shower was held at Kristen Holm's home and she decorated it beautifully with a beach theme as Hillary and Patrick will be moving to Irvine, California in October and living close to the beach.

Thank you friends!! Hillary is well set to begin married life!!!

Eagle Scout Project!!! Almost done...

It was a happy Mama Tebbs this past Friday that watched her 13-year-old son get a large portion of his Eagle Project completed.

Grayson contacted the Guadalupe School in Salt Lake back in June about things they needed done that they couldn't afford to do.  The Principal told him they needed new wood chips for their playground before school started at the end of August.

Grayson called Bob's Tree Service and asked if they could donate 25 yards of wood chips.  They were very accommodating (even when a truck broke down and we had to wait a week for a new part to come in), dumped their loads and drove away.

Grayson got 7 other scouts to come and help him spread the wood chips around the playground.

It was extremely hard work and they toiled steadily for 2 hours shoveling, dumping, spreading and raking the wood chips to cover the whole playground.

We were all thrilled to see those two huge loads disappear...

Grayson and his crew!

Now he's just got to fill out the mountain of paperwork required and have his Eagle Board of Review!

The Graduate(s)!

Hillary graduated from BYU Friday morning with a Bachelor of Science in Home and Family Living.  She was scheduled to graduate next April (4-year-plan) with a totally different major and two minors.  Plans changed as did her relationship with Patrick and she was able to finish her studies in 3 years so she could get a degree in August, get married in September and move to Irvine, California where Patrick has a job with Ernst & Young in October.

We were all there to cheer her on and are so proud of her!  Her fiance Patrick graduated a few hours later with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

I am so excited for their upcoming adventures together!  Go COUGARS!!!

Elder Garrett Caleb Tebbs...

Garrett said he couldn't sleep last night because he was so anxious to open his call.  (That's how I've been for 4 days while its been sitting on our kitchen table waiting for him to get home from St. George!!!)

He had 6 close friends, our immediate family, Hillary and Patrick and my parents who came to watch him open it.

I think he was happy and excited when he read he would be serving in the Mexico Leon Mission, reporting to the MTC on Nov. 28.  He took a couple of years of "high school" Spanish so he'll at least be able to say "hello" and "where's the bathroom"...

Everyone cheered and we are thrilled for this next adventure in his life.  He will have wonderful experiences and opportunities that will continue to shape him into the man he is becoming.

Garrett was impressed President Monson had an "inked" signature and not a stamp.

Garrett will be a fabulous missionary and we are proud that he is willing and worthy to serve.
