Bountiful Parade

Everyone loves a parade--especially Garrett!

We were so excited that 3 of my sister's children were in town (1 from NYC, 1 from Atlanta & one from Draper) and that they were able to join us!
John and I have fought the 5 am crowd to set up our chairs in front of Carriage Crossing in the shade ever since we were first married 20 years ago and first lived at Carriage Crossing!

My dad and John are especially excited about the clowns...

Connor and my mom are solemnly watching the Jeep Posse go by...

Hailey cheered with the Mueller Park Jr. High float and hand-delivered bubblegum to our group...

Garrett and Grayson are discussing which cheerleaders are the cutest...

Hudson loved the antique cars...

Ashlyn loved the candy and princesses...

We should've entered the cousins in a float...

Hillary and Priscilla wanted their parade to be in surround-sound...

Happy 24th of July!!!

2nd Place Isn't Too Shabby...

Pinewood Derby, Space Derby and now Raingutter Regatta...

Grayson competed in four different rounds...

... to compete against...

... the champion catamaran and one breath short...

...which earned Grayson 2nd Place!

Not sure how happy he was about that...

... but he was happy to receive his Webelos Award!

Marvelous Moab

John and his brother Mark took Hillary and her cousin Steven to Moab for a couple of days for a belated graduation trip. Steven is headed to BYU-Idaho in the Fall and Hillary is enjoying her summer at BYU-Provo but she doesn't have class on Friday so they were able to squeeze in a couple of HOT days.

Steven and Hillary have a lot of fun together...
The trip consisted of a morning bike ride up Provo Canyon, hiking around the Bridal Veil Falls area and Steven introducing Hillary to the new adventure of rock climbing. Moab excursions included a day trip down the Colorado River... (you can see our family did not get any of the Tebbs height genes)
Eating at a great Mexican restaurant and biking their way through Moab from their hotel...

And buying twinner shirts to remember the trip by...

When John got home late Saturday night I asked him if he thought Hillary enjoyed the trip and he said he received a text from her after he dropped her off at her apartment in Provo which read "Thanks for a great trip. It was way fun. Love you." Guess you can't ask for more than that...

Boating on the 4th of July!

We knew we'd never get Hillary to come home for the weekend (LOVES BYU & living away...) so we went boating on Utah Lake for the 4th of July and KNEW she'd drive five miles from her apartment for that! Hillary brought one of her roommates from Missouri, Priscilla, who had never been boating before and she LOVED every minute of it.
Garrett tried out his new wakeboard he got for Christmas and surprised us all with tricks and turns...
Grayson was a little more adventuresome this year and was willing to go as fast as John could drive and didn't mind getting flipped off several times...
The best sport of all was Cooper who sat next to me on my seat the whole day and didn't make a peep... guess we'll have to take him again!
