A Visit To the South...

After a 4-hour plane ride, 2-minute train ride and a LONG escalator...

... we found Sister King waiting for us at the top!

My parents and I spent 5 days with President and Sister King and Connor in Atlanta. We visited the quaint town of Madison... (Sherman didn't burn this one.)

Had lunch at the Blue Willow Inn--a Southern buffet in which I enjoyed at least 7 delicious desserts such as peanut butter pie, pecan pie, coconut cake, peach cobbler, Blue Willow squares, brownies and double chocolate cake.

We visited the Margaret Mitchell House, Atlanta History Center (saw a new, very cool Abraham Lincoln exhibit) and Swan House.

We also ate lots of Michelle's great cooking, went to Stone Mountain to watch a laser show with 9,999 others (it was at night and my tiny camera wouldn't cooperate...), ate some more, played our favorite family card game of Hearts, attended 8:30 am church, took naps, ate--you get the picture (I actually can tell a difference in pictures from the first day to the last--ugh!)

10 more months until they're back "home" in Utah and I'll only have to travel a couple of blocks for a visit...

"As God is my witness...I'll never go hungry again!" (I love Gone with the Wind). Do you think that's why the South has so many amazing dishes and desserts?? What a fun trip for you and your parents. Your sister and her hubby look good.
