Happy Birthday Cooper!

Cooper turned 4 today...

Every time one of us comes home and walks through the door, we all call for him...

He's usually looking out one of the windows waiting for us, or snuggled on someone's bed.

His favorite treat is a courtesy cone from Arctic Circle. Tonight he got two!

None of us can imagine our family without him...

... especially me.

I almost feel guilty...

...because this is the kind of weather Hillary and I enjoyed this past week at Dana Point, California while Utah had some pretty nasty stuff going on.

We went to The Tonight Show one day...

... and my good friend JoAnn came through AGAIN and got us into Disneyland for FREE one day. We were there for 9 hours and had a blast because it wasn't packed. We also ate at some of our favorite places... Panera, Cheesecake Factory, El Torito (twice!) and Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor.

We came home a day early to catch Hailey's ballet recital on Saturday.

She's a lovely dancer and always looks great on stage.

The end of her "Snow" dance.

I have to say that my favorite part of the day was seeing the 3 men in my family work in the yard for 6 hours straight! (It sure needed it...)

The Perfect Relay...

Wow! I LOVE this race!!! Red Rock Relay in Moab--70 miles, 6 people, one van, 12 hours--perfect!! I started off at 6:35 am to the most gorgeous weather and scenery you could imagine. This was also the best I felt and I ran my first leg of 6.5 miles under 8 minute miles. Personal best.

Can it get more gorgeous than this?

John did pretty well. He started his training LAST WEEK because he's been so busy at work, lousy weather to run in and then got sick... excuses--but he ran/walked a 5.4 mile leg and walked a 3-mile uphill leg.

John handing off to Scott.

Dan and Heidi--fun friends we ran with and they were nice enough to lend their car for the race.

Again, gorgeous Moab backdrops.

More fun friends to run with--Scott and Lauretta.

Have to be honest--the women tore it up! Between the 3 of us, we ran 40 of the 70 miles...

My last leg of 7.62 miles. Ran a little over 8 minute miles on street and trails--very fun but a little warm at 80 degrees.

Our fantastic team "Run, Walk, Crawl," completing the race at 6:33 pm.

I am signing up again for next year. Anyone interested???

Hailey's 16th B-day!

Hailey turned 16 today...

... that means 16 presents, plus...

... her new room, which used to be pink with clouds on the ceiling.

... and I hope she saw the sign we hung on her way to school...

Following in her sister's footsteps...

This little goofy, cute Sophomore got the Offensive MVP award for the WX Girls Lacrosse Varsity team at the lacrosse banquet Monday night. She scored the most goals this season and was an animal on the field.

This is one of my favorite photos of Hailey because she's trying to shoot a goal with 5 players on the opposing team trying to stop her. This is how she played all season.

Hillary received the same award when she was a Senior... Who knew this ballerina had it in her? Congrats Hailey!!!

Easter 2011

The Easter Bunny made his visit after church this year. Too much going on before 9 am...

Cooper is always where there's excitement going on...

Hailey likes to see what everyone else gets before looking at her own haul...

No more toys for this 12-year-old. A basketball is about the close as it's going to get from here on out, I think.

Our family egg hunt started getting a little out of hand because we don't actually hunt for eggs at our house...

... we hunt for Pringles, Goldfish, iTunes gift cards and deoderant!

We have the REAL egg hunt in Papa and Grammy's basement after a delicious Easter dinner.

As long as you're single, you get to hunt for chocolate eggs and plastic eggs with money.

There's also a Target gift card for the kids and Cheesecake Factory gift cards for the adults--YAY!

Time flies--just glad I got this post up before Easter 2012!
