First day of school for Senior Garrett, Junior Hailey and 7th Grader Grayson. Does my baby really look big enough to be in Jr. High????? (However, I think his shoes look big enough...)
Grayson left the house at 7:30 to catch the 7:42 bus a block away so he sat down to wait and lighten his load. (I truly felt bad for him and almost wished he had a transient grocery cart to load everything he needed to take...)
I went to breakfast with a bunch of happy (and a few sad) moms that also sent their children off for the day. I looked forward to after school when they all came home and talked about their 1st day with each other for 30 minutes--happy with teachers, classes and friends. BUT.. I would be lying if I didn't say I thoroughly enjoyed the 7-1/2 hours of quiet beforehand...

Dang, if I wasn't at work at 6:30 a.m. I would have loved to come crash the breakfast...that sounds heavenly and fun!
You have the best kids...and we have the best friends! I was one of the happy moms...should I feel guilty!? :)
Oh my goodness! I remember MY nerves on that first day! I think more so than my boys! It's funny though how quickly they adjust and we get used to our "time" again!
