September Moments...

September has been a full and crazy month! The day after Grayson went to Homecoming he was asked to Sadies, a girls choice dance. We went from three chicks to a baby!!!! I worry what's next!

Made it to the Utah State Fair with the majority of the family...

Enjoyed a limo ride and dinner in Park City at Grappa with fun people. Music from our high school days was blaring from the speakers on the way home so there was a lot of dancing and singing...

Mom had a fall which resulted in some internal bleeding so she went to a memory care rehab facility for a couple weeks while we wait for an opening at long-term care close to my parent's home in Sandy.

John and I hiked up beautiful Mueller Park Canyon to Elephant Rock (3.5 miles each way) to enjoy the Fall scenery then ran all the way down to beat the darkness. We barely made it!

Women of Steel Relay - September 24, 2016

We've come to love the Women of Steel Relay which begins and ends in Midway, Utah and only involves women running 54 miles. They suggest you do it with 6 runners each running three legs but we had 9 ladies that wanted to do it. One dropped out last minute so everyone had two legs to run except Brittany Smith and I had three legs.

I was the first runner and the race started at 7:30 am with a slight drizzle. Temperature was perfect for running though and the rain stopped for the majority of the race.

This was Hailey's first relay so she was a bit nervous but found her stride and ran REALLY fast!

Lauretta always skips into the exchanges...

We came in 2nd place out of 27 teams and finished in less than 7 hours! About 30% of the teams dropped out due to the weather prior to the race so we get 50% off next year because we showed up!

Lake Powell Couples Trip

John and I took a quick trip to Lake Powell once a long time ago and took the three oldest kids which were all under eight and don't have lots of fond memories... THIS TRIP! Amazing! Nice large houseboat, incredible scenery, amazing food and awesome friends. New adventures and exciting experiences.

John and I both tried surfing for the first time and had a blast!

Went on lots of exploration hikes...

The trip was so fun because of these great people!

Lots of laughs!

Incredible hike to Hole in the Rock...

Our part-time skipper Misty...

And the fun crew I'll travel with anytime!
