Happy 89th!!!

Happy 89th birthday to the man that's been in my life the longest! We celebrated at Maddox with the Utah kids and grands since it's his favorite restaurant and he can get his favorite Banana Cream Pie for dessert!

I posted on both my personal and fitness Instagram accounts that I'll repost below...

He's been such a great example my entire life of so many quality traits: disciplined, generous, obedient, organized, thrifty, tidy, smart, honest, friendly, hard working, spiritual, diligent, reliable, health-conscious, giving, etc. But the quality I MOST admire and respect is his undying love and care for my mom and her Alzheimer's/demential this past decade of his life :>

And regarding his fitness... his life has consisted of sports, teams and daily movement 5-6 days/week. Sunday has always been a day of rest. During my growing up years, he rode his bike, ran and/or played basketball with my mom and another couple at 5:30am before work. Once he retired and moved from SoCal to Utah with my mom, he walked 5-6 miles every morning, exercising indoors if the snow was knee deep. He now has arthritis, bad knees, bone-on-bone and foot issues, BUT he is still  outside moving for an hour every day... except Sunday.
