We lost an amazing man today... dad, "Papa," died on his 92nd birthday. The majority of my good qualities come from him and he has been my greatest example of love, service, discipline, hard work, dedication, obedience, testimony, faith and love for the Savior and His gospel. If you knew Don Milne, you were inspired to be a little bit better and do a little bit more. He was the dad I needed and an even better Papa to my children and grandchildren. I am both heartbroken to not see or talk to him daily but so joyful he is reunited with my angel mother after 16 short months... love you forever dad!!!
I was so grateful the grandsons, Collin, Taylor, Garrett and Grayson could visit with Papa two days before he passed and give him a blessing. He was still coherent and was grateful to have them there.
The morning before he died, Michelle, Teisa, Sita and I sang Happy Birthday to dad and I know he heard us because he was moving around a bit and trying to open his eyes.
My favorite picture of dad and my favorite recent picture of the two of us at my house when he came for a Sunday dinner... he will be so missed!
