How could I???

How could I go to a family party and forget my camera?!!

Cute Ashlyn turned 6 and we were there to celebrate with a yummy princess cake...

... and baby Tessa enjoyed John's yummy hand. I won't forget my camera next time!

The Wedding

We spent our Friday here...

...celebrating the marriage of

Collin & Lacey King!

The happy couple and their parents...

It was a family reunion for us as we were able to visit with my nephew Cameron, his wife Erin and darling children from NYC...

Hillary, Hailey & Grayson were THRILLED to help tend all the cute cousins while we were in the temple... (Can you believe my sister already has 6-1/2 grandchildren???)

There was lots of this...

...and this
and of course, this...

Every child was assigned a buddy...

The reception was FUN! Beach theme with amazing food, shell/lantern decorations, make-your-own S'mores with mini grills, ice cream floats with many kinds of sodas--all set around a beautiful pool and yard. The DJ and dancing topped off the night...

Everyone had a blast...

...and wore themselves out.

Grayson did "airplane" with the boys so many times his muscles were sore the next day...

Lots of smiles...

...laughs

...and outright hollers

Hopefully the mother of the groom can finally relax for a week or so as she hangs with our parents at Capistrano Beach this next week...

The cake was delish!

Just glad neither of my girls caught the bouquet...

They're Back....!

After 3 long years in Atlanta (which really seemed like 5 or 6), the Kings have returned home to Bountiful!

The eager family members waiting to greet them at the airport Wednesday: Collin (getting married in 2 weeks), Taylor & Sadie (almost 2), Courtnie, Mom & Dad Milne, Kolby (3-1/2), Ashlyn (5-1/2)

Kolby waited so patiently for 30 minutes for them to come down the escalators...

The first glimpse...

Michelle, Steve and Connor.

Excited to see the crew...

Sadie is happy to have Mimi & Opa home...

Island Park

Checking schedules, there were only 4 days of the whole summer that our family and John's siblings could get away to Island Park. His sister Marianne and her husband Craig told us its one of their favorite places and we were excited to give it a try.

They have a special "cabin" they rent each year that sleeps 20 and we filled it up with 20 of us (4 kids couldn't make it due to work, school or mission)...

There were 8 adults and 12 kids under 19...

But we had plenty of rooms and beds for everyone. Even a boat dock right out in front...

We had a couple afternoons of pouring rain so we watched movies and played games...

One such game was guys vs. gals and John was so sure their team was going to win that he said losers would jump in the lake...

You can see who lost...

Brother-in-law Nate choreographed a "Y" pose, pirouette and front-knee tuck off the dock. Hilarious...

The 5 girl cousins (1 missing)...

Heading out with a boat-load of cousins...

Ready for anything... and they got soaked when Uncle Craig drove right through a wake!

Garrett surfing behind the boat...

The adults watching the kids having fun...

Garrett, Grayson & Troy musing...

Hailey, Hillary & Crystal laughing...

Hillary and Crystal tubing...

Hailey and 17-year-old cousin Austin, catching up...

Lots of chatting...

Lots of cooking and eating...

Lots of fun... (hopefully this will be the start of an annual tradition)

He's Home...

Elder Collin King just returned after serving faithfully for 2 years in the Puerto Rico San Juan Mission. He flew "home" to Atlanta to see his parents and speak in their ward and now he's in Utah for a short while and will be speaking in his real home ward Sunday.

My dad loves to take our family out to dinner for ANY occasion (and we love to go!) Good thing he only has 2 daughters or we'd have to reserve a conference room rather than a couple of tables...

Its fun to have 3 of the 4 King cousins together and hang out with them.

We were excited to visit with Collin and his younger brother Connor. We're glad Collin will be back at BYU in the Fall so we can see him more often...

***Missing: Garrett had to work at Robintino's so he couldn't join us (he did bring home about 12 dozen breadsticks at 11 pm though....)
