Last week in May...

Since I'm the team manager for Grayson's comp. soccer team and we had money left in our team fund, I scheduled a party at the new Boondocks in Kaysville and the boys had a blast.

Grayson received the "Mr. Versatility" award because he can play any position on the field.

The coaches were extra kind and gave me a gift certificate at Garden Day Spa for a manicure & pedicure (I've actually been the team manager for this same team and coaches for 3 years...)

Cooper celebrated his 3rd birthday on May 26.

Hailey made some "Honey Love" muffins and Cooper enjoyed them all...

Grayson competed in the first-ever Math Olympiad at Davis High School.

He and his partner Annie represented Boulton's 5th grade in "Mystery Architecture." Each team gets 20 minutes to build the highest structure they can with the items given to them in a bag. Pretty tricky but lots of fun...

We headed down south on Friday to sunnier skies and warmer weather--yay!

We rented an ATV and a Rhino on Saturday. This is how we teach our kids under 16 how to drive before we actually get behind the wheel WITH them!

After a day in the dirt and dust we headed back for some tetherball...

swimming...
snoozing...
tanning...

Welcome June! Bring it on...

A Typical Week in May...

May Madness continued as we attended many events and performances this past week. Hailey had 9th Grade Recognition Night (graduation) at Mueller Park Jr. High where students were honored for the activities and accomplishments over the past three years.

More than half of the cheerleaders were 9th graders... (don't you love the cell phone shot?)

Unbelievably, Mr. Short was Hailey's math teacher for 7th, 8th and 9th--Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II Honors.

The Victory Dance (aka as "Squirrels In My Pants")

Grammy & Papa came to Grayson's "Someone Special" lunch at Boulton and we had a pizza picnic.
Garrett's tennis banquet was held at his coach's house and we are SO going to miss Coach Cowley as this was his final year with the WX Boys team. Garrett was "privileged" to win the "Biggest Fan Club" award as his "friend" Taylor was at every home game cheering him on. "Hmmm...."
Hailey had two recitals with the Bountiful School of Ballet this weekend and did a fabulous job in their Americana Ballet as a Roman Candle (just wish we could've gotten those head pieces to pop!)
... just another week in May.

This past week...

Garrett and John went to St. George over Memorial Day weekend and rode ATVs, played tennis, went biking, ate at In 'n Out, went swimming and hot tubbing, ate at In 'n Out again...
Can I tell you how proud I was as a mother when Hailey received the "Most Forgetful" award at the end-of-year cheer social? All the cheerleaders have started to pack an extra pair of socks and bumkins for Hailey to borrow.

Hillary had her Senior voice recital last night and sang three songs; one Italian, one folk song and one Broadway. She did a great job!

Will May ever end? I'm tired...

This is why May is worse than December for me... With four kids there are so many events, programs, awards nights, dinners, recitals, etc. that I CAN'T GET TO ALL OF THEM AND I HATE IT! I am a "stalker mom" that shows up for scrimmages, games that don't count, dress rehearsals, watches the end of a practice, has a personal relationship with each coach and teacher--because that's just what I do and who I am (much to my children's dismay).

Just last night Garrett had his WXHS Tennis Banquet (which John and I both missed)...

Hailey made Madrigals at MPJH so she was part of the Madrigal Exchange at the beginning of the school's choir concert (which I missed--John ran over and saw the exchange but missed the picture, darn)...
...BECAUSE we hosted Hillary's lacrosse banquet at our house at the exact same time.
The food was catered from Texas Roadhouse (thank goodness) and Lauretta S. and Kristen H. helped A LOT (thank goodness) and Hillary was appreciative (amazing).

The Varsity Captains put the whole program and awards together.

Hillary won "Offensive MVP" because she scored the most goals this season (like a billion) and she was the most aggressive (averaged 1-2 yellow cards per game).

I'm glad I was at least able to make it to one event last night... hopefully next year Garrett will still be on the tennis team and Hailey's Madrigal Concert will be on a different night!
