Wedding Dinner for Garrett & Julia

We enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating Garrett and Julia the night before they got married at Thanksgiving Point in the Rose Room. Michelle helped me with the decorations and Garrett and Julia selected their menu. It was a perfect evening spent with family and friends involved in the wedding party.

Best man Danny Arana and Maid of Honor Jane Wettstein made toasts, three short videos were shown (through the years, dating and first look), all the parents said a few short words and Julia and Garrett spoke. It was a perfect evening which was prelude for the perfect wedding day...

December Happenings...

I was lucky enough to win two tickets to Aida at the new Hale Theater in Sandy by sharing who I would take to the performance and why. I said I would take my 85-year-old dad because he took me to the Glendale Theater (the first theater the Hale Family ran in SoCal) when I was growing up and I'd like to return the favor by taking him to the theater located in his hometown now.  I won, the theater is amazing and the show was fabulous!

Fed mom dinner and visited with her before we went out on the town...

Celebrated our immediate family Christmas early this year since Garrett and Julia will be on their honeymoon on Christmas Day and Hailey and Riley will be spending Christmas in Lewiston with his family. We saw the new Star Wars movie, the kids opened their gifts and we ate Joy Luck takeout. Then they all drove home for early morning finals the next day.

Our annual extended family White Elephant party is always highly-anticipated. We had a potluck dinner, opened White Elephant gifts, then played our usual homemade Taboo game. Fun night!

And Elder Tebbs seems to be celebrating in Brazil as well!

Julia's Bridal Shower!

Enjoyed a fun day hosting a bridal shower for Julia Stolt--soon to be Tebbs on Saturday, Dec. 2. Hillary flew in from Irvine for the day and brought party favors and Hailey was in charge of games. I provided the chicken salad sandwiches, pear spinach salad and fruit and Michelle did a cheeseball and crackers and Courtnie made her famous sugar cookies. We had about 20 extended family and close friends attend.

After the shower we took Hillary to Chriskindlmarkt at This Is The Place Heritage Park for the afternoon, had Hires Big H for dinner and dropped her off at the airport to head home. Fun day!

Thanksgiving WEEK in St. George!

You got that right--a whole week! Arrived in St. George Monday night and got home Sunday night. Such a fun week! The only thing we were missing was Elder Tebbs...

We mountain biked, went to Fiesta Fun, played card and board games, put together a puzzle, opened Christmas stockings, played tennis, pickleball, soccer and four-square, took Cooper on walks to the duck pond, Black Friday shopping, rode motorcycles, ATVs and a 4x4, attended a session at the St. George Temple and saw the temple Christmas lights, and ate EVERY MEAL at home except for one. That's 16 home-cooked meals and I was so glad I cooked, baked and froze lots of things that made preparation quick, easy, non-stressful and left lots of time to play.
