Greece 2025--Turkey

One of my favorite ports--Kudasi, Turkey. We had a private tour to the ruins at Ephesus, House of the Virgin Mary, tours of a rug factory and pottery factory (where John got a hands-on demo), a typical Turkish lunch and back on the ship where John won a free shirt in the nightly lottery!

(ancient toilets)

They take care of their cats. Little crates for them to sleep in are placed all over the grounds and food.

In between two cruise ships...

Big cruise ship lottery win :)

Greece 2025--Mykonos

First island we visited was Mykonos. There were lots of photo ops in the port when we first arrived. We actually booked two excursions for this island since we had all day there. We did a Mykonian Farm cooking experience and made homemade pizza, a variety of breadsticks and apple filled desserts with products from the farm. We cooked everything in an outdoor oven with another family from Australia.

The second half of our day was spent on an island tour with stops at all the scenic places and a visit to Elia Beach for a swim in the Aegean Sea.

Greece 2025--Athens Pre-Cruise

Turning 60 meant completing a few bucket list items and Greece has always been one of the top destinations on the list! John and I flew to Athens in our Premium Select bulkhead seats which allowed for lots of legroom, deeper inclined seating for sleeping and all the food and drink amenities we needed. We went a few days early so we could explore Athens before getting on the ship.

After arrival in Athens we went straight to our hotel--nicest in the city--Hotel Grande Bretagne--which was right across the street from the Parliament building where we could watch the changing of the guard. After checking in we went to the Plaka area for dinner and explored Athens.

The next couple of days before we got on our Celebrity cruise ship we went on a tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum, took a street food tour and met a couple going on our exact cruise, and went on a hop on/hop off bus around Athens to historic sites...

Got on the ship Saturday afternoon and unpacked for the next week of sailing to Mykonos, Ephesus (Turkey), Rhodes, Santorini and Hydra.

We have great early dining seating with an amazing view!
