Where Else Would We Be?

Sports have always played a huge role in our family. As spring seasons have begun and winter sports are finishing, we realized the countless hours we sit watching and cheering our kids on...

Hailey is a Sophomore on the WX Girls Varsity Lacrosse team as well as one of the captains. She loves the sport and has started taking the draws this year (kind of like a jump ball at the beginning of the halves as well as after goals are scored).

WX is rebuilding and only has 13 girls on the team this year. The game takes 12 on the field so there's only one sub IF everyone shows...

Hailey plays the whole game, consisting of two, 25-minute halves.

She's usually in the middle of the fray and has scored at every game and scrimmage so far this year. She scored 7 against Bountiful and we were thrilled to find another Division I team out there that is struggling as much as we are...

Hailey received a yellow card for an illegal hit and had to sit out for a 3-minute penalty. I think she welcomed the rest.

On another note, our YM's Priest basketball team was undefeated on the ward level and went all the way to semi-finals in region, then losing the semi-finals.

Our team looked a little "from da hood" but we were scrappy little players and 12-year-old Grayson even got to play a little in some of the games. He was their best bench supporter the whole season and just wished they had a Deacon or Teachers team.

I love these pictures showing the height difference between Grayson and the "big boys."

And WX boys tennis plays Bountiful tomorrow so if it doesn't rain I'll post some pix of Garrett. Oh yes, and Grayson's soccer season is right around the corner too...

Hailey is just following in her sister's footsteps...aggressive with style and smiles! I love the variety of heights and maturity with the boys bball. So fun for your family to be so active!

"WHERE ELSE WOULD WE BE?" is right!!! I just know you have the perfect chairs to sit in while you are cheering! Right? Great shots of Hailey! Good job with your camera!

How much do I love that Hailey is #1. Awesome. I'm curious, how old were your girls when they first started in Lacrosse? I'd like to look for opportunities for my girls to play.
