Let the graduations begin!

We had a wonderful seminary graduation at the stake center last night.  My parents brought their "good" friend Marguerite who is visiting from Ireland.  They met the Good family on their mission 16 years ago.

Memorial Day Weekend

We were SO excited to head down to St. George after school on Friday where the sun was shining and it was warm and then HOT over Memorial Day weekend.

Cooper celebrated his 5th birthday...

... with a little ATV ride, two new toys and a hamburger patty from In-In-Out.

Before church on Sunday we walked to the pond/park a couple of blocks from our house and fed the ducks before we let Cooper loose to give them a short chase to the water's edge.

One of the ducks we nicknamed "Dinosaur" because he chased us for more bread with his mouth open and a loud hiss--we were all a little scared.

Drove to Snow Canyon and started hiking on a pet-approved trail but it got so hot that we had to turn around because Cooper was too heavy to carry the additional 3 miles...

We had a short FHE lesson in the shade.

 John held up a rock.

Made our first visit to the Mountain Meadows Massacre site.

Played tennis, tetherball, 4-square, soccer and basketball.  The kids got in the pool and I got a sugar cookie from SWIG (corner of 1000 East and Tabernacle--a MUST!) and drove home.

Wowser!

Tonight was the WX Girls Lacrosse banquet at the Wight House in Bountiful.  This is Hailey's 3rd year on the team and she was one of three captains.

It was one of those experiences where you're proud of your child but a little embarrassed when she was called up five times for various awards.

She was named to the 1st Team All State All-Star Team and got a shirt and shorts.  Only 24 girls from 14 teams in the state are on this list...

She also received the team Offensive MVP award since she outscored almost everyone in the league this season--over 30 goals for her team.

Hailey and two of the fabulous four team coaches.  She is looking forward to a GREAT Senior year!

WCLA Nationals in Colorado Springs

The Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Nationals were in Colorado Springs this year where the top 16 teams competed for the National Title.  My dad's 90-year-old brother lives there so I invited my parents to go with me.

We watched one lacrosse game each day and did lots of sightseeing in between.

We went to Garden of the Gods...

...and my dad and I took one morning and went on the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak.

It was 80 degrees at the bottom and 30 degrees at the top.

Hillary played the whole time in all four games: #11 BYU lost by one in overtime to #6 Central Florida; Beat #14 Virginia by 7; Beat #7 Texas by 2 in overtime; Lost to #5 Colorado State by 2.

Hillary and her 90-year-old great uncle Vance.

It was fun to attend the awards banquet for the BYU lacrosse team where Hillary received her "Senior" gift as she is graduating in August and the "Perma-Smile" award from the captains.

Farewell BYU Lacrosse Team (until Hailey tries out in 2013...)

Region Champs!!!

Garrett played in the high school regional tennis championship this weekend at Liberty Park.

He plays 1st Doubles on JV.

He and his partner Sukei, an exhange student from Japan, went 6-2, 1-6 in the first two sets against nemesis Bountiful.  Coach Johnson, a motivational speaker as well as tennis coach and instructor, helped them get through the mental issue of playing #1 Bountiful.

They went back and forth the whole 3rd set, finally coming up with a 7-5 win and region champ title!

In other Tebbs children news, Hailey scored 7 goals against Davis this past week to beat them 12-9.

She was on fire, scoring almost every time she had the opportunity to shoot.

This win pushed Woods Cross into the playoffs next week too!

May is INSANE with all the spring sports the kids are involved in but I am so looking forward to watching Hillary at Nationals in Colorado Springs this week as BYU Women's Lacrosse tries to make a statement!  Go Cougars!!
