The night before the Days of '47 Parade, a police escort took all the floats on the freeway in the carpool lane and basically shut down the freeway as they were transported to downtown SLC from Sandy. They moved the floats at midnight going about 10 mph.
The next morning they handed out awards and our float won the prestigious Judges Choice Award. John walked with the float throughout the whole parade and I was at home getting family members out the door and watched it on TV and got a couple of closeup shots. What a great way to end a 10-month calling!
