On Wednesday we took the ferry from Moorea back to the airport in Papeete, were happy to see a McDonald's (which we despise at home but haven't been too impressed with French Polynesean cuisine), boarded a tiny plane to Tikehau for our 55 min. flight and then took a small boat to the beautiful and remote Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort where we will spend the next 4 days.
First glimpse of our resort and no way off except by small boat... We swam, explored, snorkeled, kayaked, relaxed on the patio of our overwater bungalow, and had a couples massage.
